If you are using canned peaches, or frozen peaches, you would probably be interested in making a baked pie recipe with your peaches.
Pies with a double crust are made of pie pastry, while single crust pies are commonly made of pie pastry, graham cracker crumbs, or a shortbread type of crust.
While there is no doubt that home-baked pie crusts make the best peach pies, when time is a factor, a store-purchased pie crust work well too.
For double crust pies, I often purchase a package of two pie pastry crusts. I use one for the filling (bottom), and then use the second pastry pie crust for the top. I find this works very well, and saves a lot of time!
