Peaches baked in the oven are a very simple and delicious idea for a snack or a quick dessert recipe using fresh peaches.
Here are two recipes for baking peaches, one using just peaches, and another recipe using peaches and blueberries together.

These recipes are most successful if you use free-stone peaches, and not peaches for which it is difficult to separate the flesh of the fruit from the pit.

Similar to oven baked apples, these recipes for warm peach desserts or a healthy peach snack are lip-smacking delicious!
They are sure to take your taste buds for a ride!

Ingredients
2 fresh peaches
2 tsp. butter, divided
4 - 6 tsp. brown sugar, divided
sprinkling of cinnamon
whipped cream, yogurt, or whipped dessert topping, for garnish, optional
Directions
Gently rinse peaches to wash, halve the peaches, and remove the pits.
Place the peaches, peel side down in a baking dish.
Place about 1/2 tsp. butter in the hollow of each peach and on top of each dab of butter sprinkle about1 1/2 tsp. brown sugar.
Bake peaches in the oven at 375° F for about 25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender.
Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream, yogurt, or whipped dessert topping (optional), and sprinkle with cinnamon.

16 fresh blueberries (more or less depending on size)
8 tsp. whipping cream (not whipped)
8 tsp. brown sugar
whipping cream, yogrut or whipped dessert topping for garnish, optional
sprinkling of cinnamon, optional
Directions
Rinse the peaches to clean, halve peaches, and remove the pits.
Pleace peach halve, peel side down, in an oven baking dish.
Fill the hollow centers of the halved-peaches with a couple of blueberries, then drizzle each one with about 1 tsp. of the whipping cream, and top with 1 tsp. of the brown sugar.
Bake in the oven at 375° F for about 30 - 35 minutes, or until the peaches are tender, and the cream and the sugar have formed a sauce.
Serve warm with a dollop of whipping cream, yogurt or whipped dessert topping, and a sprinkling of cinnamon, if desired.
